Started in 1991, Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) is an autonomous non-profit management education institution. MICA has set a precedent as the first residential academic institution in the country and perhaps in the Asia-Pacific region wholly dedicated to meeting the needs of the integrated marketing communications industry. MICA’s stringent selection norms coupled with the rigour of the curriculum ensure a highly committed, creatively and innovatively anchored, professionally oriented communications manager skilled in the practice, development and management of communications for industry and society.

Eligibility Admission to the PGDM-C programme requires a Bachelor’s degree (in keeping with the 10 + 2 + 3 (4) system) with minmum 50% marks or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates appearing for the final examination towards a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are also eligible to apply. Students with demonstrable aptitude for expressing, assessing or conceiving ideas that move people to action and achieve business results, will stand better chances of being shortlisted.
Selection Procedure The selection process for the PGDM-C involves three steps:
Stage – I CAT/ GMAT : Candidates have to apply on the basis of CAT 2007 or GMAT score (Score of 31 December 2005 or later).
Stage – II MICA Admissions Test (MICAT) :Shortlisted candidates would be required to appear for the MICAT, which is conducted usually in Feburary / March every year. The MICAT is designed to assess analytical and divergent thinking, written communication skills and familarity with the Indian ethos. MICAT would be conducted at Bangalore, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.
Stage – III Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI) Candidates who clear the MICAT will be invited for Group Excercise and Personal Interview at MICA campus, Ahmedabad later in February / March 2008.
