Kotha Bangaru Lokam Review

Dil Raju again banks on his traditional subject ‘relationship between parents and children’ with an element of love within. This time he did it again but with a different view. Yes, I am talking about his new venture Kotha Bangaru Lokam.

Varun Sandesh of Happy Days fame plays the lead role along with new entrant Sweta Basu Prasad. The rest includes Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Ahuti Prasad, Brahmanandam and Rao Ramesh. It is directed by Srikanth Addala and is released under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Balu (Varun Sandesh) hails from a typical middle class family whose parents – Prakash Raj and Jaya Sudha send him to concept school to get some rank in EAMCET and become a successful engineer in life.

The rest of movie revolves around Balu and Swapna’s relation and the elders’ reaction over it.

Movie majorly deals with a concept of love v/s attraction and how Balu and Swapna in their teenage classify the relationship between them as a true love.

Well coming to the artists’ performances, this movie has a wide array of new faces whose names are not known to me but they did a commendable job. I am talking about Balu and Swapna’s friends. They did everything perfectly, whether it is a comedy scene or a serious scene, they managed it all with ease.

Varun Sandesh as Balu did with perfection and the maturity in acting he attained is commendable. He was apt for this character. It was like you name it and he gets it done.

Swapna (Sweta Basu Prasad) I am not sure whether this is her first movie but she was also up to the mark. She did a great job while manoeuvring between set of dialogues that were assigned to her.

Prakash Raj, played the role of Balu’s father. He is a middle class man who is happy with his little family and a being a successful Banana merchant in local yard. He played pivotal role by bridging the relationship within his family.

The only thing I didn’t like personally was the elimination of character at the nick of the moment which was actually not required.

Jaya Sudha has now become a brand mother for Sri Venkateswara Creations taking it from bommarillu to Kotha Bangaru Lokam. Her role was kept low in the first half but her role takes off during the second half.

Take it direction, cinematography everything in this movie was not very much on the higher or lower side. I can say that it is a perfect mix of everything. Comedy in this movie was majorly dealt by the new comers and Dr. Brahmi (Brahmanandam) who played the role of principal of the institution also played a nice role and showed how institutions in order to bag ranks use techniques to make students study by hook or crook and the best part is that the students of the institution are one step above them.

Music by Mickey J Meyer was another plus point to this film. The music was well used and composed in the film.

On the whole, it is worth watching and one should watch it for sure. I would not hesitate to watch it one more time and I would like to give it a rating of 4 out of 5

I am sure that many of you might have liked this movie but some of you may not too. So, please share your opinions with me. I would be glad to hear them.
